This is a solid set of 2019 Barolos from Azelia. In recent years, Luigi and Lorenzo Scavino have moved towards a much lighter style than in the past. My impression is that these wines have gone too far in that direction because the signatures of place are no longer clear. Bricco Fiasco, Margheria, San Rocco, Cerretta. These are some of the best sites in Piedmont. Vineyard designate wines must express the nuances of place, otherwise, they have no reason to exist.
