This is a very pretty set of wines from the Scavino family. The 2015s spent 45-50 days on the skins, with submerged cap maceration following the alcoholic fermentation. The straight Barolo, Margheria and Riserva are aged in cask, while the Bricco Fiasco and San Rocco are aged in mostly neutral French oak. In tasting, the 2015s are quite delicate, with striking aromatic presence. At the same time, my impression is that the wines need time to recover from bottling, as they are all quite reticent today.
