Fabio Alessandria's 2014s are terrific. They don't reach the stratospheric quality of the 2013s, but that would have been too much to ask for. One of the things that stands out about the 2014s is that they are all dark, powerful and concentrated by the standards of both vintage and estate. I imagine these wines will need a bit of cellaring to come into their own. Yields are down 30% across the board. Partly as a result of that, Alessandria opted not to bottle the Barolo Acclivi, and instead used that juice to boost the quality of the straight Barolo.
