This year, Marianne Mugneret, daughter of Marie-Andrée, took me through the wines, another sign of the baton being gently passed to the next generation. Usually, Marianne is out in the vineyard. She kindly agreed to be interviewed on camera, so readers should look out for that in the Media section in Vinous. This is a very elegant array of 2023s, generally lighter than the previous vintage, armed with filigree tannins and silky textures. They are probably earlier drinking than other vintages. Keep an eye out for the Echézeaux, Chambolle-Feusselottes and Clos Vougeot.
