Enrico Scavino, and his daughters Enrica and Elisa, show no signs of slowing down. A parcel in Ravera is the newest addition to the range. Vintage 2012 appears to have been quite challenging at Scavino. The Barolos are lacking in their customary structure and overall depth, while the differences between the vineyards aren't as marked as they so often are. On the flip side, the 2012s should drink well with minimal cellaring. Because of hail damage late in the season the Scavinos did not bottle their flagship Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata.
