Geantet describes his 2000s as round wines with good balance but less density than his '99s. Crop levels following a green harvest were in the 45 to 50 hectoliters-per-hectare range, or about the same as those of the previous year. Geantet carried out his usual extended cold maceration in 2000, then aged the wines without racking until assembling them just prior to the October bottling, which he carried out without fining or filtration. These are delicious, pure 2000s for mid-term drinking.
