Renato Vacca gives his Barbarescos two years in cask and then ages the wines for a year in bottle before releasing them, so these are the current releases. The 2012s are solid, but they also reflect the up and down nature of the year in their slight lack of definition vis-a-vis the truly great vintages. The 2013s and 2014s I tasted from cask point to two promising vintages on the way.
