I tasted a wide range of wines with proprietor Peter Stolpman and his team during a recent visit to the estate. Stolpman's 2015 Syrahs are terrific across the board. At this stage in the wines' development, I am not sure the differences between the various Syrah bottlings are that marked. Of course, those differences, if they exist, will emerge over time. My impression, though, is that the imprint of the 2015 vintage, with its drought conditions and tiny yields, will remain the single most prominent signature in the wines.
