I tasted a lot of wines from SAMsARA this year between new releases and a few wines I had missed. Winemaker Matt Brady has done a superb job in driving quality since taking over a few years ago. SAMsARA sources fruit from a number of top sites across Santa Barbara. The whites are done in a style that exalts vibrancy. It’s much the same with the red wines, which see a fair amount of stem inclusion and are aged in mostly neutral wood. I especially like the transparency of the top wines in this range.
