With the exception of the Chardonnays, I found this range from SAMsARA perplexing. Stated simply, the wines lack depth, complexity and site expression. The 2017 Pinots all taste the same, while the 2016 Syrahs do not fare much better. Hopefully, these new releases represent a bump in the road. These wines were once among my favorites in Santa Barbara.
