Gunter Kunstler has risen like a phoenix from the ashes over the past four vintages. Throughout the 1990s this had been one of the finest estates in the Rheingau. Rapid growth in vineyard size and two changes of cellar had an impact on quality, but since 2007 his dry rieslings have returned to the Rheingau elite. After excellent 2009s, the 2010 collection dots the last "i", with all three Erstes Gewachs among the finest produced in the region.
