By starting their harvest early, Hans-Leo Christoffel and Robert Eymael achieved some unusually delicate, penetrating and sharply etched yet extract-rich wines at the lower end of the Pradikat spectrum. For them, the fruit was already ripe in late September. Once again, this team has assuaged any doubts that their collaboration precludes the sort of stellar solo performance that characterized Christoffel in the two decades I have known him.
