Ferruccio Grimaldi's 2011 Barolos are soft, supple and expressive, which is to say very much in the style of the vintage. The 2011s have come together quite nicely since I tasted them from tank just prior to bottling, a delicate moment in time when wines can appear deceptively flat.

Ferruccio Grimaldi's 2011 Barolos are rich and nicely textured. I would not at all be surprised if the wines perk up a little bit once the final dose of SO2 is added just before bottling, as today the wines lack just a bit of energy. I tasted the 2011s from tank before bottling.
