"The 2004 vintage produced wines that are Burgundian in texture, with alcohols around 14.8%, which is normal for grenache here," said Thierry Usseglio.He seemed far more excited about these wines than about his 2003s, which he described as very difficult to vinify.The Usseglio wines are grenache-dominated, lush and suave, with great ripeness and power and berry fruit that often verges on exotic.There will not be a bottling of the flagship Reserve des Deux Freres in 2004, by the way.
