Fabio Oberto describes 2010 as a year with a wet spring and short summer with quite a bit of rain. Conditions improved in the early fall. The 2010s were brought in from October 10-12. Oberto favors French oak for the malolactic fermentations. From there, the straight Barolo sees only neutral oak and the Albarella a 50/50 mix of cask and barrique, while the Rocche and Brunate are aged in cask.
