German pinot noir is not yet a household name in the U.S., but anyone who has tasted the wines from this estate will be converted for life. Not only are they Burgundian in style, but better than much of what is produced there. In 2009 Becker also made a chardonnay that merits close attention. If you have never have heard of this estate, search out one of the three pinot noirs shown below-or even the "B", which at $45 a bottle will provide an introduction to Becker's style.
