These are three attractive Pinots from brothers Carlo and Dante Mondavi. As good as the 2018s are, they come across as a bit light, even within this style. Given the quality of the year I expected more, but that is only because the Mondavis have set the bar so high with their previous vintages. As always, the Raen Pinots are marked by a very strong whole cluster influence, but those notes meld into the wines nicely with aeration.
