Readers will find plenty to like in these new releases from Steve Pride and longtime winemaker Sally Johnson. The 2015 Reserve wines are the highlights, as some of the mid-tier 2015 appear to be more strongly marked by the stresses of the growing season. As always, the Pride wines are dark, powerful and big. Although the wines offer plenty of near term appeal, I prefer them with the nuance that develops after at least a few years in bottle. Also tasted: 2016 Sangiovese.
