This is mixed set of wines from Ryan Deovlet. The Chardonnays all taste like they were made with underripe fruit, as the vineyard signatures are not delineated, which is surprising, as Deovlet sources from top sites and keeps new oak levels low. I find much more personality in the Pinots. Deovlet employs a touch of whole cluster fermentation. New oak is between 17-42%. But at the end of the day, those are just numbers. Put simply, I would be thrilled to drink any of these Pinot Noirs. The Chardonnays? Less so. Also tasted: 2013 Sonny Boy.
