Over the past ten vintages, this estate has consistently turned out excellent wines, with both 2010 and 2011 being benchmarks for the entire region. Again the Grosses Gewachs was a great effort compared to the other dry rieslings from the Saar, but it is the delicately sweet wines that set the bar for the entire nation. From a stunning kabinett from the Rausch site to a sublime auslese, each was at the pinnacle of what was possible in 2011. This is without doubt one of the finest collections of the vintage.
