There is an undeniably polished character that runs through the entire lineup, yet in the end, the wines remain distinctly Italian and Marche in character. This is also one of the most dependable producers in the region despite their rather large size. Ultimately, this is a huge benefit to consumers, as the wines are of excellent quality and are generally easy to find in the market. The 100% Montepulciano Conero Riserva Campo San Giorgio continues to be one of the most impressive wines in the portfolio, mixing the variety's stony depths and mineral-intense character with a well-integrated sheen of oak. The Pelago is another standout. This polished blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Montepulciano and 10% Merlot shows outstanding balance and age-ability. And, of course, the Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Fonte del Re, which may not be the most complex Lacrima from year to year, but is undoubtedly one of the most charming. A selection of Verdicchios and well-priced entry-level reds complete the portfolio.
