In the world of wine, large producers don't necessarily produce the highest quality, but this is not the case with Umani Ronchi. At about 200 hectares under vine and roughly 3 million bottles of annual production, Umani Ronchi is the Marche’s largest private vineyard owner but its wines are also some of the best made in the region. I especially like the Vecchie Vigne Verdicchio, a savory, herbal wine that ages extremely well, but the Conero Riserva Cumaro is also one of the Marche’s best reds.
