This is another stellar set of wines from Seavey. Jim Duane has done a terrific job in getting the most out of this steep, rugged Conn Valley site. Seavey's 2015s are powerful, structured wines that don't show the early appeal that is common in this vintage. That is probably a very good thing for the wines over the long-term. At this stage, though, the 2015s are quite reticent. The one wine I would be tempted to open on the early side is the Merlot, which is positively stellar. As always, Seavey's entry-level Cabernet Sauvignon Caravina is one of the very finest values in Napa Valley.
