Aaron Pott's 2013s have turned out as good or better than tastings from barrel suggested. The wines are rich, dense and extracted, yet also convey plenty of site-specific character. I tasted all of the bottled 2013s, except the tiny production Cabernet Sauvignon Turf War, whose success seems to have set off a turf war of its own at Pott's rabid customers fight for an allocation. Pott did not show any of his 2014s, so I will have to wait for another occasion to taste those wines.

Aaron Pott's 2012s capture all the promise I sensed when I tasted the wines from barrel last year. As strong as the 2012s are, the 2013s are shaping up to be even better. Over the last few years quality here has been on a serious upswing. My impression is that the wines are a bit less extracted than they once were, although there is still plenty of the trademark Pott concentration and texture.
