This is a fabulous set of wines from Liquid Farm. The Chardonnays in particular are brilliant, but the Pinot Noirs might be even more impressive considering the challenges of the growing season and a slight lack of consistency in the Pinots that has been an issue in the past. All the 2021s are marked by dynamic energy, brightness and expression of site. The Chardonnays are all fermented and aged in barrel - 10 months for the White Hill, 15 months for the vineyard designates and 17 months for the Four. Élevage for the Pinots is 10 months for the appellation wines and 15 months for the vineyard designates. Whole cluster use is minimal, while new oak is also kept low. A gradual transition to larger format 500L barrels in some of the lots has paid off big time. This might be one of the most complete set of wines I have ever tasted from Liquid Farm. Bravo!
