Folded Hills is one of the most ambitious estates in Santa Barbara. I tasted a wide range of wines this year that point to a bright future. The wines are done in a restrained style with modest oak influence and an overall emphasis on vibrancy. Folded Hills is owned by Kim and Andrew Busch, descendants of the Anheuser Busch family, who built a formidable brewing empire in their hometown of St. Louis. Michael Brughelli is the winemaker. Folded Hills is an estate to watch.
