Flowers is another estate that excels with Chardonnay in 2013. All three wines in this lineup are fabulous. In particular the two selections from Camp Meeting Ridge - a site originally developed by Helen Turley and John Wetlaufer and planted with old selections of Wente from Larry Hyde's vineyard - show just how magical this site is for top-notch Chardonnay. The 2012 Pinots are pretty, but also forward and at times even a bit fragile, both of which suggest they are best enjoyed sooner rather than later.
