Enzo Boglietti’s 2021s and 2020s are more than worthy follow-ups to the 2019s. The shift toward a style that emphasizes freshness has been especially meaningful at this address because of a focus on single-vineyard wines. Whereas the nuances of site were once buried under oak and heavy extractions, today the wines are vivid and highly expressive of place, thanks to a much more classic approach to vinification. Readers who have not tasted these wines in some time owe it to themselves to do so, as quality has exploded in the last few years. As good as the wines are now, my feeling is that there is still room to grow.
