The Mugneret-Gibourg 2011s have turned out as good or better than I expected. Weightless and transparent, the 2011s here are drop dead gorgeous. The harvest started on September 1. Natural sugars came in between 11-12%, so all of the wines were lightly chaptalized. The 2011s were racked in July and bottled beginning in February 2013. As beautiful as the 2011s are, my sense is that they are also shutting down in bottle, so they are best left alone for at least another year or two.
