Bernard Gros excels with supple, fruit-driven Burgundies. As usual, I tasted in the underground cabaret-like piano room. After long days in Burgundy's cold cellar, the Gros tasting room provides some much needed relief. Gros commented that the malos were quite fast, and were done by March/April. I tasted the 2012s from barrel just before they were moved into steel. Overall, the 2012s are quite pretty here and are also respectful of the house style, which means the wines should drink well with minimum cellaring.
