This large domain (24 hectares spread across Saint-Joseph, Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie) produces approachable, intensely fruity but cellar-worthy wines that are always extroverted yet not overtly modern in character. That's thanks in large part to Stéphane Montez's very clean, modern cellar and his manic obsession with temperature control during fermentation (malo in barrels for the reds) and subsequent aging of his wines. There's a judicious use of new oak here and the wines are bottled relatively early, except for the Côte-Rôtie Les Grandes Places, which is aged for up to three years in mostly older oak.
