These are the best wines I have tasted from Clos de la Tech. Valeta and T.J. Rodgers make the most dramatic, unapologetically flamboyant Pinot Noirs readers will taste in the Santa Cruz Mountains. When all the elements come together, the wines are fabulous. The 2013s were fermented with indigenous yeasts and bottled with no fining or filtration. The estate releases their Pinots when they think the wines are ready to drink, which is not necessarily according to a chronological order (I tasted the 2014s last year). All I can say is that the Valeta and T.J. Rodgers absolutely nailed this vintage. The wines are superb, and, now with a few years in bottle, they are also in the zone to offer spectacular drinking.
