Jean-Pierre Cournut did not present his 2015s this spring as they were just beginning their malolactic fermentations at the time of my visit. But he did pull a set of 2014s from his private stock, as he’s a partisan of this vintage: he told me that he has cellared quite a good supply of these high-acid wines for his son born that year. “The 2014s are very concentrated wines, with a touch of positive greenness,” he told me. “They have the freshness of 2013 but with more body. And they're more vibrant than the 2012s." The '14s were bottled last September.
