Visiting Brezza is like walking into a Piedmont scene the way things were in the 1980s or earlier. There can be some charm to that, but not always. My impression is that the winery is long overdue for a makeover. I expected more from the 2020s, especially given Brezza's strong performance in 2019. Overall, the 2020s are light-bodied wines. The alcohols, tannins, and overall feel of these wines are disjointed. The 2020s saw about 35 days on the skins, with submerged cap maceration. Malolactic fermentation was done in steel. The 2020s spent three years in cask prior to bottling.
