Brezza remains one of the most under the radar growers in Barolo. Enzo Brezza's relatives include Maria-Theresa Mascarello and Beppe Rinaldi, so there are some serious winemaking genes in this family. The 2010s Barolos mark a bit of a shift in style, as it is the first vintage in which Brezza has returned to working exclusively with indigenous yeasts. The Barolos were fermented in cement, and were subsequently racked into cask where they spent two years prior to being bottled in Spring 2013. Overall, the Brezza Barolos remain medium in body, with a classic sense of austerity that will thrill lovers of traditionally made wines.
