Clare Carver and Brian Marcy established their winery in 2006. The couple has successfully turned Big Table Farm into one of Willamette Valley’s most reliable sources for energetic, fruit-driven wines (whites, reds and roses), that are expressive soon after release and balanced to repay cellaring. Their 2016 Pinots are an outstanding set of wines, showing the vintage’s generous character and real energy as well. Readers should also get ready for the 2017s, which, based on what I saw from a barrel room tour with Brian Marcy, could turn out to be the best vintage ever here.
