Les and Lisa Behrens make some of the most beautiful, racy Napa Valley wines readers will come across. These are wines that speak to immediacy and pure pleasure. At times, I think there may be too many different bottlings in the range and that the wines aren't always highly differentiated, but that is a relatively small critique. Most importantly, the Behreneses consistently overachieve given that most of their vineyard sites don't belong in the very upper tier of Napa Valley vineyard sites.
