This is another strong set of Barbarescos from Albino Rocca. In 2020, there is perhaps just a bit less site delineation than in some recent years, but that is to be expected in a year that was mostly dry and warm. Harvest started on October 1 and then resumed a few days after the October 2 rains. The wines were fermented in tank, with the exception of some lots of Cotta and Ronchi that were vinified in wood. Time on skins was about 14 days. In 2020, the malos proceeded at a brisk pace, so the wines were racked into barrel before the end of the year. Aging was two years in cask.
