Pascal Agrapart is one of the standard bearers in Avize and the Côte des Blancs. These new releases are all quite pretty, although I must say I was taken aback at how open the 2008 vintage wines are. Given the quality of the year and the trademark Agrapart minerality, I expected to find a much more austere set of 2008s. Of course, the good news is that those wines will all drink well early, something that is rarely the case with the top wines here.
