Pascal Agrapart excels with bright, tense Champagnes that capture all the energy that is such a signature of the Cote des Blancs. The flagship wines usually needs a few years post-disgorgement to soften, but the 2009s may prove to be an exception. I found all three 2009 vintage wines wonderfully open and expressive when I tasted them a few weeks ago. All of the wines undergo full malolactic fermentation, and the top bottlings are aged exclusively in neutral oak.
