This relatively new estate was born in 2009 on the ashes of the old Buecher-Fix estate (itself created when Yves Buecher married Nelly Fix). But as there are numerous wineries in Wettolsheim called Buecher or that have the word Buecher in their name, Charles and Amelie Sparr, also owners of the brand named after them (see Charles et Amelie Sparr entry), understandably wished to decrease the possibility of confusion. At Vignoble des 2 Lunes, Amelie works along with her sister Cécile, who studied eonology and viticulture as well as wine business. The estate owns 12 hectares planted mostly to Auxerrois, Pinot Noir, Gewürz and Riesling.
