These are some of the best wines I have tasted from Silvio Grasso. For the first time I can remember, the Barolos are vibrant red in color rather than leaning towards the darker end of the spectrum. Bottling on the earlier side seems to have helped these wines show a little more precision. The Grasso Barolos remain supple and easy to drink young, but they also show a bit more polish than in the recent past.
