This is a challenging set of 2013 Barolos from Grasso. The wines are all awkward and also not at their customary level. The Turnè, which is aged in cask, is the best of these wines, which leads me to believe part or all of the issues that mar these Barolos might be attributable to oak. Regardless, the 2013s fall short of the level of quality that has been the norm here over the last few decades.
