Ray Signorello has an unbreakable spirit. Just days after his winery burned down last fall he vowed to rebuild, and he has. I was amazed to see how much progress had been made on a new winery when I stopped by the estate in September. I don't think much can stop Signorello from achieving his goals, that much seems pretty obvious.

I visited with Ray Signorello and his longtime winemaker, Pierre Birebent, in late September 2017. A few weeks later wildfires completely destroyed the winery. It is probably still too early to know what the full long-term effects of the fired will be, but Signorello vowed to rebuild everything. Given the tenacity with which he has pursued all of his interests, I have little doubt that will happen. As for these wines, they are strong across the board. Readers should also make a point of checking out Signorello's sister labels, Edge and Fuse, both of which deliver terrific quality for the money.
