Along with his co-winemaker, Matt Revelette, Adam Lee continues to produce a broad range of Pinot Noirs from California and Oregon, but the Santa Lucia Highlands have always been his spiritual home. For decades Lee has been working with fruit from the assorted vineyards owned by the Pisoni and Franscioni families. The numerous wines that he has made from those sites over the years continue to be the bedrock of Siduri’s well-deserved high reputation. The 2019s assuredly make the case that this continues to be one of the leading producers of Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir. As usual, fruit leads with this year’s bottlings, and the wines show noteworthy freshness, perfume and detail, with new oak present but not intrusive.
