This is a strong set of current and upcoming releases from Senses. There are a few new wines in this range, the most exciting of which is the Bodega Thieriot Pinot, which is just starting to hit its stride. It emerges from an estate site in one of the most coveted regions within the West Sonoma Coast. Winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown makes the Senses wines in a forward style framed with a healthy dollop of new oak. The Pinots are done with fully destemmed fruit, which further amplifies their primary fruit. Even so, these wines needed several hours of air to be at their most expressive. Readers opening the wines young should do so well in advance.
