After his classical 2010s, Christian Ebert struggled with 2011. Two thousand twelve, though, again played into his hands. While few estates were able to make rieslings this year that could stand up to their predecessors, much less surpass them, Schloss Saarstein managed that in spades, with a selection that does justice to the potential of this property. Almost every wine has that animated twist that most of us associate with the Saar.
