This is a stellar set of wines from Sandlands and proprietor Tegan Passalacqua. Whereas I found the 2014s a bit light, there are no such issues with the 2015s, all of which are full of life. A keen student of history with a huge passion for all things that relate to wine and California's heritage sites, Passalacqua is also one of the few winemakers of his generation who has the conviction and courage to make the wines he wants to rather than follow broader market trends. The Sandlands wines are all produced in tiny quantities, but they are well worth the effort of seeking out for many reasons, including pricing that is exceedingly consumer friendly. Readers who can find these wines should not miss them.
