These are the first wines I have tasted from Ronc di Vico, another small producer inFriuli's emerging Colli Orientali appellation. Some of the wines are still works in progress, but the best of these wines are highly promising. Proprietor Gianni Delfabbro ferments his whites in French oak barriques, using indigenous yeasts. The wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation, but do see gentle stirring of the fine lees. The reds are vinified in oak casks and see malolactic fermentation and aging in barrique. All of the wines are bottled unfiltered and unfined.
