These new releases from Noah Dorrance at Reeve are superb. The Pinots in particular dazzle with a combination of energy, transparency and site character that is absolutely compelling. The 2019 Pinots in this range are especially of note given the variable quality of the vintage overall. Readers will find much to admire in these fine, beautifully crafted Sonoma and Anderson Valley wines.

I was blown away by the wines I tasted this year at Reeve with Noah Dorrance and his winemakers Ross Cobb and Katy Wilson. Since getting off the ground in 2015, Dorrance has added an enviable collection of sites to his portfolio. The Pinots in particular are superb for the way they balance richness, energy and savoriness. There is some whole cluster influence, but not to the point of being dominant. I can't recommend these wines highly enough. One of the questions I get asked most often is: "Who are the best and most promising under the radar producers in California?" Reeve is certainly one of them.
